# Living Monthly Wallpapers

> A live calendar wallpaper for macOS desktops. Twelve colourways — one for every
> month of the year — rendered as resolution-independent vector layouts that update
> themselves with the real date. The month name, the large numeral and the mini
> calendar all change automatically, and today's date is always highlighted.

## What it is

- A website, not an image pack: it is loaded as a desktop background with the macOS
  app Plash, so it always shows the current month and day.
- Faithful recreation of the twelve-month minimal calendar wallpaper design by
  Better Creating, drawn live at any screen resolution or aspect ratio.
- Discreet controls sit in the centre-left of the screen: hemisphere (northern or
  southern seasons), fill style (solid or gradient), the large numeral (day # or
  month #), layout position (designed, centred or right) and an optional Google
  Calendar agenda for today.
- Access requires a licence key from the Better Creating store, bound to the account
  you sign in with, so any Mac you sign in on unlocks immediately.

- $25 USD per year plus local taxes, sold as an annual subscription licence.

## Requirements

- macOS with the free Plash app (Mac App Store) set to display
  https://monthlywallpapers.com/desktop as the desktop website, with browsing mode enabled for sign-in.

## Setup

1. Subscribe at https://bettercreating.com/products/monthly-wallpapers and
   keep the licence key from the confirmation email.
2. Install Plash from the Mac App Store, choose the screen, launch at login, and turn
   on "Extend below the menu bar" in the Advanced tab.
3. Add https://monthlywallpapers.com/desktop as a website in Plash and enable browsing mode.
4. Sign in with your email and paste your licence key.
5. Adjust hemisphere, fill style, numeral and layout with the centre-left controls.

## Optional Google Calendar

- Signed-in users can connect their own Google Calendar to show today's schedule in
